We took the fly-cruise-fly trip from Heliworks. There are other lot of cheaper options of doing similar trips on planes available and we were initially wondering whether paying the extra bit was worth it. IT certainly was.The 3 amazing landings were breathtaking – which you couldn’t do on a plane ride. We just took in the breathtaking views. Earnslaw Burn landing was the best part. Just an amazing trip delivered by a group of amazing people.”
We went for the Earnslaw Burn heli picnic. It was absolutely incredible. So special that they are the only company able to land there. I proposed to my girlfriend on a flight and picnic at Earnslaw Burn. Earnslaw Burn is jaw droppingly beautiful and the service at Heliworks is outstanding.
Our pilot, charlotte, was seriously great, knowledgeable but gave us plenty of space at the landing site but there to take some great photos as well. We would 100% recommend this to anyone considering it.
We did the Earnslaw Burn Exclusive. The pilot took us over some spectacular scenery over the ridges and up to the glacier which was truly awesome, the size of which was difficult to gauge as you hover near it. Then we landed at the base of the mountain and strolled around with the place to ourselves surrounded by waterfalls! It can’t get much better than this, we loved it, worth every penny!
I can honestly say that this tour was the highlight of our 2 weeks in NZ (North & South islands) and was completely worth every dollar. My kids each were spellbound the entire day and both exclaimed that they would remember this tour for the rest of their lives.
We did our research and got local knowledge about who is best to fly with — Heliworks was the recommended choice by EVERYONE we spoke to. We dug deep and splashed out on this trip with our teenage son and daughter. What an amazing experience. Our 14yr old son is lucky to give a one word response to a question but he provided several sentences when we asked how he liked it. All positive comments! The photos will never do this place justice as the scale is just so large. You have to be there in person to truly appreciate it.
This was incredible – thanks to Tim our pilot. We landed on Cecil Peak for a Champagne Lunch and then off to a Winery for a private tasting and tour.
Fantastic way to see so much of the Queenstown area and learn a lot of the history.

Just finished 5 weeks in New Zealand and this was the highlight of our trip, fantastic views, great pilot and well worth the cost. I couldn’t believe how fantastic it was…
During a girls’ weekend in QT, seven of us booked a trip to Cecil Peak. We took champagne and Heliworks did the rest, providing an amazing flight up and back and champagne glasses for the top! We had an amazing time – such an incredible experience and worth every penny.
Beyond exceptional – close to the best $ I’ve spent on my 40 years on this planet so far! Could not be more happy with the service provided. Memories to last a lifetime.
The whole experience from start to finish was perfect. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day so the views we had of the scenery were breathtaking.It really is the only way to see so much of NZ’s beautiful landscape.
My wife and I saw the ‘Travel Guides’ show and knew that a trip to Earnslaw Burn needed to be on our bucket list. Took the trip last week with Richard and Charlotte and it exceeded expectations. The views and location were amazing and I can’t believe how beautiful Queenstown and the surrounding area is from the air. Richard and Charlotte were full of information the whole trip. Everyone from Heliworks were a delight to deal with and I can’t recommend them and Earnslaw Burn enough.
We wanted to arrange our own itinerary and from the moment we arrived and spoke to Geet at Reception we knew our must do things would be ticked off. Our pilot Davey was a delight and our flight was filled with interesting information and history. The scenery was breathtaking. It’s the only way to begin to appreciate the beauty and grandeur of the mountains. I have no hesitation in recommending Heliworks. We got what we asked for and more.
We circled around the top of the glacier & had a great close up look, before descending to the valley floor & our first landing.
Dave touched us down very gently, shut down & we got out to wander around. Words and pictures cannot do this place justice!!!! It really is phenomenal, with cascading waterfalls, crystal clear streams & time locked frozen pools, timeless beauty in every direction from the over hanging glacier, sheer cliff faces , grassy plains snow capped mountains 15-20 minutes of our own private paradise.
We did the Earnslaw Burn Direct flight. It was EPIC.We did QT Full throttle on our honeymoon but this was the highlight. MT Earnslaw is amazing and glorious and the glacier is beautiful but the helicopter ride was definitely the highlight. We had incredibly experienced pilot Mark, and he was full of information and gave a very smooth ride and incredible flight.Worth the money – do it – you won’t regret it.
We spent 3 weeks in the stunning South Island but nothing rivalled the life changing experience of our Fiordland’s Finest helicopter flight with Heliworks and our superb pilot, Dave. From our bird’s eye view we spent over 2 hours unable to utter a word at the incredible beauty and magnificence of the landscape

Absolutely stellar tour of Doubtful and Milford Sounds, landings in high alpine terrain, a glacier, and two separate spectacular private alcoves with multi thousand foot towering cliff walls and cascading waterfalls. My dad and I had a wonderful trip that we will both treasure for the rest of our lives.

What an amazing experience. Dave our pilot asked us how much snow we would like …we answered “how much have you got”. He then landed us in deep snow on Double Cone before flying over Ben Lomand Saddle, past Coronet Peak and Skippers before coming back to Queenstown. Thanks Dave for a fabulous journey and being part of such a memorable part of my husbands birthday
